Her sincere and strong look tells us about her will and constant search. At the same time we feel the sensibility of the attentive, from those who do not pass simply through life. Her eyes see and register.

Adália Alberto built her own path. Observing, studying, experimenting, listening, learning, experimenting again. A great courage woman, she chose the Art of Stonework and Sculpture. Her extreme delicacy was purified with time; her intelligence made her find ways; her taste purified techniques. The woman grew up, lived. And thanks to that the sculptor became bigger every day.

Every time I worked or spoke with her I felt there was in potency an enormous world of progression and finding. Her walks trough Serra d’Aire. Days looking for a stone. That stone. In colour and shape. The gesture suggested by the stone beyond the rough shape it represents. Adália is, professionally speaking, skilled and indefatigable. Her professional ethic. Her way of listening to what we intend – the idea that we imagine- is her natural empathy to integrate us in friendship. It is her natural way to make us feel that the work has everything of us. Although she is the creator. The major art of taking from the stone emotions and meanings, in a sensual or rigorous manner.

Asking Adália that the art and the stone should never leave her is a very selfish act. Because all of us will gain with that.
